Regulations to Prevent the Impact of Vegetable Gardening Chemicals on Human Health

This section also authorizes EPA to release pesticide residue in raw agricultural commodities from the requirement of a tolerance.

In India, as per rule 48-E of the PFA Rules, 1955, vegetables shall be free from rotting and also from coating of waxes, mineral oils and colors

The European Union’s Food Standards Agency regulation 396/2005 sets out the Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) for pesticides in food.
